SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
Must have: ETAP/ SKM / AutoCAD
Good to have: MicroStation, Autodesk Plant 3D/ CADWorx
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for the following activities but not limited to:
- Understand the scope of work, evaluate basic engineering package, perform estimation, Prepare design basis, interaction with client, vendor management.
- Experienced with Developing electrical distribution systems for any industrial projects like Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical, Refining, etc.and plan these systems using recognised industry standards & specifications
- Perform system calculations & studies for electrical power systems– Arc Flash Studies, load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies & relay coordination studies
- Preparation of electrical engineering documentations like Cable sing calculation, earthing & lighting calculation, transformer sizing calculation, battery & battery charger sizing calculation, UPS sizing calculation.
- Preparation of specification & datasheets for Transformers, Switch gears, cables, VFD panel, UPS system, Battery & battery charger, FP & FA system.
- Prepare the One line & three-line drawings, schematic & wiring drawings along with cable schedule, termination schedule & interconnection schedule.
- Preparation of MTO, Load list, cable schedule, electrical DBR Report
- Preparation of Cable sizing, cable tray raceway drawings, illumination drawings and earthing drawings
- Review and check all assigned project electrical installation drawings for compliance with all company and project instructions (one-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, etc.)
- Review & checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
- Develop technical bid evaluation to support the selection of major electrical equipment
- Assist in the development of project schedules & manpower requirements
- Knowledge of Area classification
- Working knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NEPA, IEC, ISO Standards and International Codes.
- Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
- Good communication skills
